will be out in less than 12 hours for the United States and with that Activision has been pushing content and information to us all month. If we go back to where everything began, we were fully introduced to the game at E3 where attendees were immediately greeted with a new, brutal, more violent and hyper serious Call of Duty. Next Activision sneakily announced that the SpecOps: Survival Mode would be a PlayStation 4 exclusive for an entire year, just long enough for the next entry in the series to come out. Earlier this month Activision announced that they will be dropping a Battle Royale mode in 2020. Last but certainly not least Activision came out with a statement saying we won’t be seeing loot boxes in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare or any Call of Duty games of the future. All of that news leads us to the release times for the game.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will actually go live for everyone across the world at midnight per your local time unless you live in North America. In North America, the game will actually release at 6pm Pacific Time and 9pm Eastern Time later tonight. This means North American users will gain access to game Thursday night before the game officially launches worldwide. All the controversy aside Call of Duty has the potential to be one of the best games in the series. It’s all in the hands of Activision to not poison the game with its inevitable microtransaction system.
Are you picking up Call of Duty: Modern Warfare tonight? Are you grabbing the physical game or are you trying to play when the game releases later tonight through a digital purchase? Let us know and make sure you follow Gaming Instincts on Facebook and Twitter.
