Call of Duty: Modern Warfare – Requires 1.02 Patch

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare

will be out in less than 12 hours for the United States and with that Activision has been pushing content and information to us all month. If we go back to where this journey began, we were fully introduced to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare at E3 where attendees were immediately greeted with a new, brutal, more violent and hyper serious Call of Duty. Some enjoy this more serious take on the series, some are afraid it may be too much for the gaming landscape and has already been banned in a few places across the world. Next Activision sneakily announced that the SpecOps: Survival Mode would be a PlayStation 4 exclusive for an entire year, just long enough for the next entry in the series to come out. Last week Activision put out a huge statement talking about the elimination of loot boxes not only in the upcoming Modern Warfare but also future Call of Duty titles.

In the midst of all this news, we also found out that Call of Duty would be around 137 gigabytes depending on the console you’re playing on. Turns out there’s a second update that’s currently out now for consoles in patch 1.02. While the patch notes simply state that it fixes bug issues some have noticed that the size of the game has gone down. The update is around 14 gigabytes and seems to reduce the Xbox One size down to 120 gigabytes. This doesn’t change things too much as anyone who grabs a disc is still going to need to download a huge update file just to gain entry to the game.

Are you picking up Call of Duty: Modern Warfare tonight? Are you grabbing the physical game or are you trying to play when the game releases later tonight through a digital purchase? Let us know and make sure you follow Gaming Instincts on Facebook and Twitter.
