15 days later, Activision is going to drop its most anticipated title in 2019, and probably the most welcomed Call of Duty game during the recent years. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is about to launch on October 25 with a bunch of considerable changes compared to the latest entries of the series. Special Ops is one of those changes and one of the new additions to the series that will improve the old Modern Warfare’s co-op experience with more breathtaking missions and operations.
As it was promised by Infinity Ward, the announcement trailer for Special Ops dropped yesterday with full information on the mode’s features and rules. Generally, Special Ops is a co-operative PvE mode, where 4 players will be fighting against AI-controlled enemies while trying to get over the objectives.
Special Ops provides two slightly different modes: Operations and Missions. Each Operation is formed up of multiple objectives and checkpoints set in huge maps. On the other hand, a Mission features a more compact but story-driven task, which you can play for multiple times. Missions can also be played solo but Operations are multiplayer-only. In Operations, you are free to choose the path you go through. You are able to even use stealth mechanics to reach your destination.
Each mode allows you to gear up and equip your desired weapons before getting in action. Obviously, the weapons you’re going to use have to be unlocked based on your Multiplayer progression. Here you can check out the brief trailer for Special Ops:
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is going to feature cross-play between PC and consoles at launch, which provides a bigger community for each platform. Moreover, it will be the first title of the series in current generation to be powered by a brand new Engine.
