Activision lost Destiny as one of its popular first-person shooter series months ago, but there are no worries for them as long as Call of Duty is alive. The new entry of the series, which is one of those long awaited ones, has finally showed up on the edge of next generation and fans’ reception for its trailer has been incredible. The announcement trailer for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare reached over 20 million views in 3 days.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare trailer has been watched over 25 million times so far, while the launch gameplay trailer for Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 after 8 months still couldn’t get over 16 million views. Return of Captain Price, fighting in modern battles and using a whole new engine for developing the game, are some of the great features that makes COD: Modern Warfare to distinguish itself from the previous entries of the series so far in 8th generation.
In other news, Taylor Kurovski, narrative director at Infinity Ward, revealed that Sarah Schachner, the composer behind Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, Assassin’s Creed: Origins and Anthem will be coming back to the studio once again to craft the soundtracks for Modern Warfare.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will be coming to PS4, Xbox One and PC on October 25. The game will feature cross-play between consoles and PC, while featuring a totally improved story-driven co-op mode that will be a direct sequel to the game’s main campaign. New title of the COD series won’t feature any season pass and Zombies mode. Finally, all post-launch contents will be available on PS4 seven days earlier than other platforms.
