Call of Duty: Vanguard Leaks ahead of Reveal

For players wondering what is next for the Call of Duty franchise, it looks like a few of the rumors to this point have been confirmed today. With the new season five update for Call of Duty: Black Ops: Cold War and Call of Duty: Warzone out today data miners have dug up some hidden files buried in it, the assembly set up for when the reveal goes live.

As people have suggested the next Call of Duty is returning to world war II and will be titled Call of Duty: Vanguard. While this name has been tossed around for a while it was unclear until now if this would be the official title. Images for the game look legit and appear to offer a looser take on the era, similar to Battlefield V. These images are now making the rounds online and being hit with Copywrite takedowns from Activision, which helps lend them credibility.

Among the hidden files was information about several pre-order bundles set to be available for the game. These versions are referred to as Standard, Cross-Gen, and Ultimate which is in line with what was offered with Black Ops last year. The cross-gen version will most likely allow players on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One to upgrade their version later on when they upgrade to the newest consoles.

The ultimate edition will offer gamers that pre-order it access to the Beta for the game early. It will also come with several operators, a mastercraft weapon, a weapons pack, some bonus XP, and other assorted bonuses to help give players a leg up.

Unfortunately, the one thing the leak didn’t have is a date for the game. Nor did we receive an idea as to when Activision will officially unveil the game either. Currently, Activision is undergoing turmoil due to allegations of gender discrimination, as well as a poor work environment meaning that any reveal of the game might not happen on any schedule that was previously decided upon.
