Capcom is Considering Remakes For Non Numbered Resident Evil Games

According to a statement in a recent general shareholder Q&A, Capcom is considering remakes of non-numbered Resident Evil Games. When asked about its plans for more remakes in the series, specifically if the remakes will be for numbered entries alone, the publisher responded that it was “carrying out discussions regarding the future expansion of this series so it can be enjoyed by a wide audience.” Several fans of the series have expressed interest in a remake of Resident Evil Code: Veronica. The game launched in 2000 for the Dreamcast, and a remaster launched on September 27, 2011 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

Resident Evil Code: Veronica X details:

Raccoon City was just the beginning. Claire and Chris Redfield’s nightmare continues as the siblings fight to survive against zombies and other monstrosities within Umbrella’s deadly facilities. Scavenge for weapons and precious ammo to battle undead canines, a gigantic subterranean worm, and other terrors lurking in the shadows. Explore the mysterious Rockfort Island facility and the freezing Antarctic Base for clues exposing the Umbrella Corporation’s sordid goals and the truth behind the mysterious and unsettling Ashford twins.
