Capcom released two new trailers that feature some new weapon changes in Monster Hunter: World’s new Iceborne Expansion.
The two weapons, the Insect Glaive and Bow both have unique and different abilities you can use. To hunt down the treacherous monsters of the new world. The Insect glaive is a glaive that will give you continuous buff as you fight the monsters. First off the glaive gives you a new landing attack where you plant the glaive into the ground and swing it to your sides. You can also use your sling while the weapon is out. Additionally you can grapple onto the monsters using your new sling whether or not the character is in the air or on the ground. Lastly the character shows off his glaive’s downward thrust as he moves straight down to the monster’s head while flying in the air.
Now while the insect glaive is cool and does a decent amount of damage overall, some people would like to use the many different shots for the multi-hitting Bow. According to the trailer there will be more types of arrow shots as the hunter is seen doing a 3-hit shooting combo onto the Rathian. Additionally another new shot is seen that does fires a big powerful shot dealing what looks to be dragon damage.
Additionally there are mover videos that show off the new weapon moves through Capcoms Clutch Claw, Greatsword, Longsword, Hunting Horn, Hammer, Switchaxe and Charge Blades. If the previous two weapons weren’t for you, then Monster Hunter will surely have another one for you too.
Monster Hunter: World Iceborne will be released worldwide for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One for September 6, 2019. Unfortunately for PC players, the Steam version will release in the Winter, so you’ll have to wait.
