Konami may be gearing up to give its fan base a taste of classic Castlevania action with a possible Anniversary Collection. The Australia based government website Australian Classification listed the Castlevania Anniversary Collection with the applicant named as Konami Digital Entertainment.
The Australian ratings board doesn’t list any other juicy details other than the title and applicant, but does raise a few important questions. Which Castlevania titles would we likely receive in an anniversary collection? All of them? Just the old ones? Just the newer ones? With the series’ 33rd anniversary set to strike in September 2019, is that when we could see the potential collection release?
With no official confirmation from Konami, take this leak lightly for the time being. Konami has been treading water over the course of the last few years, so releasing an obvious fan favorite in the form of a massive collection could help set them on the right path.
As for now, everything is up for speculation. Stay tuned for more on the possible reveal of a Castlevania Anniversary Collection from Konami.
