Castlevania Anniversary Collection Set To Release Next Month

With Konami celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, they’ve recently announced three new collections to commemorate the arcade classics where their gaming legacy began. Last month, we were treated with the announcement of all three classics collections – with the Arcade Classics Collection being the first to release – with both Contra and Castlevania Collections to follow.

A recent post from Konami reveal a release date for the 8-game Castlevania Collection, and also unveils which games will be included in the classic, monster slaying side-scroller assortment.

The retro collection runs through the first eight years of the Castlevania timeline starting with the original Castlevania title on the NES. The remaining seven titles include: Castlevania II: Simon’s Quest, Castlevania: The Adventure, Castlevania III: Dracula’s Curse, Kid Dracula, Castlevania II: Belmont’s Revenge, Super Castlevania IV and Castlevania Bloodlines.

All included titles look to take players back to the gritty vampire hunting action-adventures that made Konami such a household name. Players can get their hands on the Castlevania Anniversary Collection when it release on May 16, 2019 for the PS4, Xbox One, Switch and PC.

Stay tuned as we’re still awaiting an official release date, as well as remaining confirmed titles for the announced Contra Anniversary Collection.
