CD Project RED and Stadia

CD Project RED Confirmed Talks With Google on Supporting Stadia

Google has finally entered to the gaming industry with more power and more goals to achieve with it’s streaming platform Stadia, which was announced a few weeks ago and officially took video game platforms to a new era. Stadia will be launching later this year and if Project xCloud doesn’t overtake in releasing, it will be the first streaming platform to launch officially. Google had previously gained support from some big developers and publishers like id Software and Ubisoft, along with it’s own first party studio to provide more titles for Stadia, but we all know Google needs to talk with much more companies to release their games on Stadia and according to CD Project RED, the polish studio is Google’s next target.

Developer of Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt revealed in it’s financial conference that Google has negotiated with them on supporting Stadia, but they haven’t reached a full agreement yet to announce the collaboration officially. While CDPR and Google are tight-lipped about this discussion, the American company is probably trying to make a way for Cyberpunk 2077 to release on Stadia, as one of the most anticipated games that won’t be exclusive to a certain platform.

In other news from the conference, CD Project RED explained it’s marketing plans for Cyberpunk 2077 which will be similar to what we saw in pre-launch period of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Talking about marketing plans for the game, could be a hint to it’s release in near future by the polish studio, which we will hopefully receive more details on during E3 2019.
