announced the imminent acquisition of the Vancouver-based Digital Scapes, a studio that has closely collaborated with the development of Cyberpunk 2077 since 2018.
In an official statement, CD Projekt’s Head of Production and CTO, Paweł Zawodny, Head of Production affirms that Digital Scapes have put in a great deal of work during the making of Cyberpunk 2077, assisting with the development of the game and optimizing its various features. He adds that Digital Scapes will help the Polish team to perfect “our technologies and will broaden our competencies”
We believe that the hugely talented Digital Scapes crew is the perfect foundation upon which to build a wider CD Projekt Red Vancouver team.
CD Projekt Red Vancouver will join three existing development teams at CD Projekt – based in Warsaw, Kraków, and Wrocław – to jointly work on the Studio’s upcoming projects.
On a public statement, Digital Scapes’ head, Marcin Chady said to be excited to join a studio that forges incredibly engaging, vastly scoped experiences, such as The Witcher trilogy and Cyberpunk 2077. Adding that their contribution in the area of gameplay and technology can make future IPs even more captivating.

Digital Scapes is known to be an experienced team of game designers with various areas of expertise, including multiplayer development, programming, and animation for consoles and PC. The studio was founded in 2012 by industry veterans from BioWare, Radical Entertainment, and Relic.
In a presentation to investors, CD Projekt revealed the roadmap of future projects at the company revealing that Cyberpunk 2077 could have an online mode similar to GTA Online.
Following a slight delay caused by a cyberattack, CD Projekt Red released Cyberpunk 2077 Patch 1.2 yesterday, the update includes over 500 improvements to graphics, stability fixes across PlayStation, Xbox, and Google Stadia.
