Several Members of the Cyberpunk 2077 modding community have been hired by CD Projekt for several projects that are related to the game. This news was announced through the official Cyberpunk 2077 discord servers for the games modding community, which was later shared on Reddit, by modder Hambalkó Bence who goes by the online handle Traderain.
According to their post, they will be joining CD Projekt Red alongside additional modders Blumster, Nightmarea, and rfuzzo. The modders will be collaborating with CD Projekt Red under the Yigsoft banner, which is a development company run by Traderain and Nightmarea.
As part of the update, Traderain spoke about what their role will be at CDPR. They stated:
We will be working on various projects related to the Cyberpunk 2077 backend and the game’s modding support. We are really excited for this and we really hope we can help to bring Cyberpunk 2077 to the next level.
Since its launch in 2020, Cyberpunk 2077 has suffered from multiple issues, including bugs, gameplay glitches, and more. Though they had to spend a lot of time since then trying to hammer these bugs out, even today the game is still plagued with these issues. Their latest patch, 1.33, was recently released fixing the mini-map and offering the games first free DLC.
Despite that fact, the company has gone on record saying that the game has finally reached a satisfactory state. This was not meant to imply that they had solved all the issues fixing the game, but instead they now felt the game was in a place where they could begin adding more content to the game instead of focusing on solely patching issues.
While the game has these issues, it is important to note they are less prevalent on the Next-Gen consoles. The company still has yet to confirm when the official next-gen versions of the game will release.
