According to the Polish news source, Bankier, who interviewed CD Projekt Red’s president, Adam Kiciński, the team behind the upcoming open-world RPG isn’t just one team – but three. Apparently the studio has been split into three separate teams, each working on a different game from the Cyberpunk 2077 universe.
The interview reveals that one of the three titles is the major Cyberpunk 2077 release we’ve all been anticipating, the second title is supposedly a multiplayer spin-off game and the third is another major title in the series which is presumed to be the sequel to Cyberpunk 2077.
There’s not much else to go on other than that small bit of information, but it’s pretty exciting to know that CDPR is treating the interesting world of Cyberpunk like its next big series following the adored Witcher series. It’s also interesting to speculate what a multiplayer focused Cyberpunk title from CDPR could look like, and if they’re going to follow the trend with a battle royale release.
Cyberpunk 2077 is set to release on April 16, 2020 for the PS4, Xbox One and PC.
