In an emotional set of tweets, Kratos voice actor Christopher Judge opened up about the delays that God of War: Ragnarok has seen, and his part in them. While the game was delayed out of 2021 for several reasons, including health concerns raised by the Covid-19 Pandemic, but according to Judge, the game was already behind schedule due to health concerns with the Voice Actor.
Judge opened his series of Tweets by stating “I need to be forthcoming. This has been approved by no one. To the beloved fandom, Ragnarok was delayed because of me.” He then went outline a series of surgeries he to undergo at the end of 2019. These included having “back surgery, both hips replaced, and, knee surgery.” Anybody that has had surgery will probably tell you any one of these alone is a large undertaking, let alone all three.

According to him, Sony Santa Monica was supportive of him through his recovery. He stated that there was “nothing but love and support.” from the studio during this period. The delay was never brought up to him or held against him in any way, according to these tweets.
No threats, no ,” who do you think you are?” Nothing but love and support. And @SonySantaMonica has never said a word about the delay, and what caused it. Studios are assholes, but this company from top to bottom, should give us hope. What they did for the crew is way more…

Christopher Judge, on top of voicing Kratos, also recently lent his voice to Marvel’s Avengers in which he portrays T’Challa or as he is better known Black Panther. Say what you will about that game, but his voice talents most definitely come through in all his roles. Hopefully, his health trouble is behind him and we have many more a performance from the talented Christopher Judge to look forward to in the future.
