Climax Studio Rumored To Be Working On New AAA Title

Today, another interesting rumor from the r/GamingLeaksAndRumors Reddit. The post was in response to a tweet earlier this morning. In the tweet, there were two images. One of them is a job listing from the studio with the job being titled “AI Game Developer” and the other being a job description for a senior developer. The tweet in question can be viewed down below.

Also, for those unfamiliar with Climax Studios. They are a British developer based in Portsmouth. Their most well-known projects in the past have been Silent Hill: Shattered Memories and Silent Hill: Origins. Another title would be Assassin’s Creed: Chronicles as well as Adventure Time: Pirates of the Enchiridion.

Review of alleged Climax Studio listing tweet

From the tweets, it can be confirmed that there is indeed a new title in the works from the studio. However, what exactly does Climax Studio have in store for this upcoming year remains to be seen. All that is currently known at the moment is that they need more people hired for the project, so it may be a large one. They already have staff currently available so what is the need to hire more than they already have?

One logical answer would be that the project is large enough that the staff at hand simply isn’t enough. Which is exciting for fans of the studio and their previous works, as well as any designers or programmers looking for a new job or a big break in the industry. So if you think you have what it takes to work on a big-name title, be sure to hit up Climax Studios!

The tweet also comes with a couple of possible answers as to what this listing means. One of the two listed is that it is possibly another PS5 exclusive game. The other is that it could be a PC port of one of their past titles. The second proposed answer could be another logical explanation to the job listing as the bulk of the studio’s works in the past have been console titles. Perhaps the listing is to hire more PC-oriented talent? The PS5 exclusive title is an interesting take as it could really go either way considering the fact that they have also published Xbox titles in the past.
