Closed Beta Applications Now Live For The Surge 2 On PC; Very Limited Openings

The sequel to 2017’s action-RPG The Surge is expected to release sometime later this year, but fist Deck13 Interactive and publisher Focus Home Interactive are opening up a closed beta period for a very select few of players.

The Surge 2 is now accepting applications for closed beta players on PC only, but there are very limited spots available. It’s been reported that only 50 applicants will get accepted into the closed beta. Applicants must have a valid Steam account and must speak either English or French in order to give proper feedback to the developers.

“The team has been working hard on The Surge 2 and we’ve now reached a stage at which we’d like to gather feedback about the game.”

There’s been no announcement as to when the closed beta period will begin, but developers are eager to gather as much feedback about the game as possible, so we should expect it will start soon.

While the original Surge title didn’t exactly knock it out of the park in terms of critical success, the sequel looks to patch up the mistakes made by the first title that often hindered the experience.

Players are still expecting to see The Surge 2 release in 2019 for the PS4, Xbox One and PC.
