Cloud Gaming Coming To Xbox Consoles

If you have a service like Xbox Game Pass I am sure you feel the constant fatigue of finding a new game you want to try, only to first have to go through your system and find what you don’t want and delete that, then have to install the new game you found. All this eats into so much precious gaming time. Well, Xbox will soon be adding Cloud Streaming to their platforms to help alleviate this issue.

Announced during Gamescom 2021, Microsoft announced that the service would be coming to the Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One, stating it would be getting added around the holiday of this year. They will be joining the large roster of devices that can stream games from the Xbox cloud, including tablets, phones, and computers. The trailer for the service makes a point to show all in action.

Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members will have access to 100+ games when the service launches, all at the click of a button. This will allow games that a browsing interesting games to just hop in and give one a test run before ever having to commit the time to install it.

As Xbox Lists it out:

  • Discover and play over 100 high-quality games in the Xbox Game Pass library without having to use valuable storage space or wait for installs.
  • Quickly jump into the fun with your friends in multiplayer games, like Sea of Thieves, as soon as you get the invite so you can set sail without waiting for an install.
  • Play Gen 9-only Xbox games like Microsoft Flight Simulator and The Medium on your Xbox One via the cloud – coming in the future.

When browsing your games all you need to do is look for a cloud icon on the games listing, open the listing, and click play. The feature will enter a testing period that will be available to Xbox Insiders some point later this fall with the intention of gaining valuable feedback.

Gamers excited to see the Xbox Cloud get rolled out should keep their eyes peeled to the Xbox Wire as information will be made available through there.
