Concealed Intent Available Now With Discount

The turn-based tactical spaceship cmobat game, Concealed Intent, is now available for PC and Mac through Steam and Humble Bundle with a discount of 34%.

After 9 months in Steam’s Early Access program, and incorporating player feedback on which parts of the game are most important (apparently procedural skirmish), it is time for Concealed Intent to graduate to a full release. This is the first game created by solo-dev, Charles Cordingley, based in Malaysia, taking nearly 4 years from concept to completion.

Check out the release trailer of Concealed Intent, showcasing the games’ features with some gameplay footage:

“This is the first game created by solo-dev, Charles Cordingley, based in Malaysia, taking nearly 4 years from concept to completion.

Concealed Intent launches on Steam with a weeklong 34% discount until August 9th, taking the price to US$9.90 (down from the normal US$14.99 or local equivalent). Also, for the first time, the game is also available through the Humble Store, with the same price and discount.

Work will now soon start on version 1.1 adding new features and platforms, along with general GUI and gameplay improvements.

The Game:

Concealed Intent is a simultaneous turn-based game of tactical stealth space combat, strongly influenced by games such as Homeworld and Frozen Synapse. Players control their ships in a fully 3D world – hunting down their enemies, just as they are being hunted themselves. In Concealed Intent you know your enemies are out there, but not exactly where, or even what they are. Concealed Intent includes a single-player campaign, an instant skirmish generator and multiplayer options.

Space is big and empty. Finding something can be like looking for a needle in a haystack, but there is nowhere for the needle to hide. To stay concealed a ship needs to fade into the background as much as possible. Everything a ship does will signal its presence and increase the ability of those nearby to detect it. A big ship may blot out stars as it passes. Heat from engines can be detected against the cold of the void. Lasers can be traced back to their origin. Eventually as detection increases, a firing solution can be calculated so that a beam of coherent light a few millimeters in diameter can cross thousands of kilometers to strike an evasive enemy – hidden no longer!”
