Control 2 Will Be an Action RPG, Control Sales Surpass 4.5 Million Units

Developer Remedy Entertainment announced during its Capital Markets Day 2024 presentation that the upcoming sequel to Control, Control 2 will be an action RPG. The game is currently in development for PC and consoles, and Remedy claims it expects it to sell between three and four million copies. Lastly, the studio announced that Control sales have surpassed 4.5 million units worldwide. Control first launched on August 27, 2019. It is available now for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch (cloud) and PC via the Epic Games Store.

Control’s details via Remedy:

Control is Jesse Fadens’s story. The main plot focuses on her personal search for answers as she grows into the role of the Director. The world of Control has its own story, as do the allies Jesse meets along the way. Side-quests and Secrets are everywhere. Jesse works with other Bureau agents, decodes cryptic ciphers and discovers strange Bureau experiments.
