Control PC System Requirements Released and It’s Not Low-Spec-Friendly

Remedy’s next big hit is going to be available later next month and hopefully there won’t be any delays, regarding the release of system requirements for PC version of Control on Epic Games Store.

According to the details shared via Epic Games Store, running Control on PC with RTX capability at least requires an NVIDIA RTX2060 graphics card, as it is the lowest-spec graphics with RTX support. On the other hand, if RTX doesn’t matter to you, an NVIDIA GTX 1060 or an AMD RX580 could run the game on low preset for you if it works along with an Intel Core i5-7500 or an AMD Ryzen 3 1300X. While the file size of the game hasn’t been specified yet, you’re going to need at least 8 GB of RAM and DirectX 11 support on your PC.

When it comes to recommended system, the game really requires a high-end PC. If you’re aiming for RTX, definitely a 2080 graphics card from NVIDIA is needed. However, without having RTX in mind, an NVIDIA GTX 1080 Ti or an AMD Radeon VII will be needed to deliver you the high preset with acceptable frame rate. In case of processor, Control requires an Intel Core i5-8600 or an AMD Ryzen 7 2700X for the Recommended system. The amount of RAM needed in this category is 16 GB. Here you can read all the specs with more details:

Minimum:

  • OS: Windows 7, 64-bit
  • Processor: Intel Core i5-7500 / AMD Ryzen 3 1300X or better

  • RAM: 8 GB
  • DirectX: DX11
  • Additional Features: Widescreen support 21:9 / Remappable controls / Uncapped frame-rate / G-Sync / Freesync support

Recommended:

  • OS: Windows 10, 64-bit
  • Processor: Intel Core i5-8600K / AMD Ryzen 7 2700X or better
  • Graphics Card: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080Ti / AMD Radeon VII or better (For Ray-Tracing: GeForce RTX 2080)
