Crytek’s virtual-reality climbing game The Climb is out today on Oculus Rift, and you can get a sense of what to expect from it via a launch trailer. You might not be able to experience the immersive feeling you’d get with a headset on, but you can see how players need to be keenly aware of their surroundings while looking for handholds and other ways to reach new heights.
The new gameplay trailer for its VR mountain climbing sim The Climb, this one showcasing the game’s third location in the Canyon.
The new teaser shows off more in the way of gameplay. The disembodied hands appear to have changed ever-so-slightly, and those route guides painted onto the rock are interesting too.
All you see of your character are your hands, grabbing any sort of ledge on the cliff to continue the climb.
Check out the Trailer:
“Bowman says The Climb will feature some of the most iconic destinations around the globe. The goal, Bowman adds, is to create ideal, almost fictional versions of these places to explore without having to stay completely true to real-life architecture and nature.”
