Cyberpunk 2077 was one of the shining starts of this year’s E3 with it’s gorgeous cinematic trailer and the sudden appearance of the breath-taking Keanu Reeves on the stage. The game also received a new gameplay trailer behind the closed doors, which haven’t seen yet, but instead we’re getting lots of details on the gameplay through the interviews that the developers have been making since E3 2019.
The new piece of information comes from Mateusz Tomaszkiewicz, quest designer of Cyberpunk 2077, who claims that some of the buildings in Night City are open for the player to enter. While not all the buildings have such a capability, Tomaszkiewicz did mention that a number of them can be explored and the development team has provided contents for them. He said:
The city of course, is not only the landmass, but also the buildings. There is a number of them that you can enter. Not all of them, but a number of them you can enter that we have prepared content for. They have levels, and you can traverse these levels in different ways. This adds a lot of space to the city, I would say.
Adding more density to the world of video games instead of creating huge lands with less things to explore, seems to be the new way of creating open-world games in order to deliver a more realistic experience.
Cyberpunk 2077 will be launching on April 16 for PS4, Xbox One and PC.
