Fans have been eagerly awaiting more details regarding CD Projekt Red’s upcoming open world RPG, Cyberpunk 2077, and after last week’s E3 event they finally got what they wanted – a release date. Along with the release date we also got another glimpse at the intense action within the game, as well as a surprise reveal of the one and only Keanu Reeves starring as Johnny Silverhand in the game.
The game is shaping up to be another epic adventure from The Witcher 3 developers and it appears that the team behind the title is looking to offer an equally satisfying ending for the title. In an interview with Prima Games, UI coordinator Alvin Liu expresses the desire for Projekt Red to close out the story on a fulfilling note, stating “It’ll be a very rewarding ending. We’re not withholding content, we’re not withholding story for the future to try to, you know, monetize it or sell it in pieces or anything like that. You’re going to get the whole, full value game here.”
Liu also touched on the idea of future content for the 2020 title, claiming the team would like to offer up more experiences for the player after the credits have rolled. Liu explains, “We are talking about expansions in the future,” going on to compare the massive amount of expansions that The Witcher 3 saw and hopes to provide that same amount of future content with Cyberpunk.
“We want to make sure everything’s complete, but we also want to build open worlds. I know when I was playing The Witcher 3 and I finished everything, I still want to know what everyone was up to. I think we’re going to have opportunities like that as well for Cyberpunk 2077.” – Alvin Liu
Cyberpunk 2077 will surely have an engaging story with a vibrantly fresh and lively open world. Players will have their opportunity to dive into Night City once Cyberpunk 2077 release on April 16, 2020 for the PS4, Xbox One and PC.
