Cyberpunk 2077
has been shipped by CD Projekt to Amazon warehouses, the game has been leaked online through photos and even gameplay videos.
Cyberpunk 2077 is one of the most hyped and anticipated games of 2020, understandably, some users who were able to get their hands on a physical version of the game took it home and played it. The problem is that the game is being leaked online, the worst example is a Twitch streamer who leaked the first 20 minutes of the game.
Redditor, user “Justgonnasendit90” recently shared an image of a sealed PS4 copy of Cyberpunk 2077 straight from an Amazon warehouse. The user stated that he only took a picture of the box, and also pointed out that there was not a chance he could take the game home.
Footage of the game has been leaked through a PS4 Pro version of the game, and was quickly spotted, saved, and leaked on several forums. The video skips most of the character creation and leaks some of the prologues of the Nomad lifepath. Little was revealed on that leaked footage, but it is almost impossible to affirm that other users will not finish the game and leak the whole story on forums.
Leaks harm the work of the developers, sales of the game and could ruin the experience for players who don’t like to see leaks. CD Projekt RED has not officially stated any intentions to stop leaks from happening, but it’s expected that the developer forces the removal of the leaks from Twitch, Reddit, YouTube, and Facebook, however, this won’t stop the leaks from happening, as it was evident this year with the leaks of Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us: Part II
Cyberpunk 2077 will launch on December 10, 2020, for Xbox One X, Xbox Series X, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4.
