CD Projekt RED announced an ambitious title back in 2012 and seven years later we are still dying to know when the game will be launched. While the developer itself says Cyberpunk 2077 will definitely be released till the end of 2021, new rumors suggest that we will get to play the open-world action RPG later this year.
ProGamingShop, which is a Slovakian game store, has listed Cyberpunk 2077 as a PS4, Xbox One and PC game that will be launched on November 28. Well, now that you know the release date, lets see how possible is it to be true. First of all, Nov 28 is Thanksgiving day which is a real odd day for games to get released and on the other hand its Thursday, and we know that games usually release on Fridays or Tuesdays. Until now, we have no other way to take the rumor with a massive grain of salt, but there are other reasons that somehow make us to believe the leak by the Slovakian store.
CD Projekt RED has been always saying that Cyberpunk 2077 will release when its ready, so the studio has never denied 2019 as the year its going to be launched. Moreover, Cyberpunk 2077 will release by different publishers in different locations and regions, so its possible to see the game releasing in some countries earlier or later than the others, and maybe that’s why in Slovakia the release date collides with Thanksgiving day.
However, with the launch of next generation of consoles in 2020, its hard to believe that CD Projekt RED ignores next-gen consoles and releases Cyberpunk 2077 only for the current-gen platforms, though it could get released in two different windows for both generations. Anyway, denying or believing the rumor both need some major proofs and we suggest you to stay tuned and wait for official details at E3 2019.
