Cyberpunk 2077′
s latest episode of Night City Wire unveiled more details about vehicles, two very important aspects of the upcoming RPG.
Cars are “chill rides to get around fast” according to CD Projekt Red, vehicles come in several distinct classes and will offer a unique look and driving experience.
The development team included a small compact, economy class, this would be the most affordable cars in the game, the executive class vehicle will suit better to those in need to impress. Customization will be available to some cars, at least in the Sports Cars category, the trailer reveals that this kind of vehicle is lightfast and somewhat affordable.
There is also the heavy-duty trucks and armored vehicles, those will come in handy when the missions require brute force as those vehicles are unstoppable and can break through pretty much anything on its path. If speed and armor are both required, CD Projekt Red included the Hyper Car category, those super-exclusive vehicles are crafted with the best materials in the game, those are the fastest and safer vehicles to get around.
According to the development team, any car can be purchased or stoled and can be summoned anywhere in the city once acquired, unlike the Grand Theft Auto series, used cars will not perform like brand new cars.
The surprise of the day was Jhonny Silverhand’s car, he will have the only real car in the game, a 1977 Porsche 911 Turbo.
The development team also showcased ‘Style’ the clothing and customization system that is also a pivotal aspect of Night City and an aspect deeply linked with the history of the world.
According to the trailer, style is your warpaint, “it matters not if you’re dead, as long you’re doing it in style” says one of the sponsors of the city.
There are four visual styles evident in Night City of 2077, those are deeply linked to the areas of Night City and the needs of those who wear it.
Cyberpunk 2077 is launching on November 19th for Windows PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4, The PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X release is coming later this year.
