Epic Games Store has been a tough competitor for steam as of its announcement and until now, has gained rights for exclusive release of some notable AAA upcoming games. From Metro Exodus and The Division 2 to Detroit: Become Human and Control, all of them will be available exclusively on Epic Games Store at least for 12 months.
Although it seems release of the games on Epic Games Store has some minor benefits for developers in term of revenue, being exclusive, somehow limits the choices of players on where to purchase their games. Among the publishers that make revenue their own priority, CD Project Red has decided to respect the community and their choices, so Cyberpunk 2077 won’t be released exclusively on Epic Games Store, as Marcin Momot, global community lead at CDPR, claimed on Twitter:

Regarding the tweet above, it’s now clear that Cyberpunk 2077 won’t be GOG exclusive neither. So PC gamers could be happy to hear that they will be able to play the anticipated action RPG on any platform that they want to. I hope fans to show a heart-warming feedback, so that CDPR becomes a great example of respecting players’ choices and encourage publishers and developers to change their mind on exclusivity of their titles.
