It’s no secret that CD Projekt Red’s Cyberpunk 2077 has had a rough time – from the hype to delays and the horrible launch to being taken off the PlayStation Store, the game has become infamous for the various bugs and performance issues present upon release. However CDPR has been hard at work in the year since its release to improve the game and try to free it from the stigma that surrounds it. The latest patch (1.5) has largely been well received by fans and critics, and it seems that the game may finally be moving in the right direction. However, Cyberpunk 2077 still has a long way to go according to Quest Director Paweł Sasko.
In a video posted to the Cyberpunk 2077 subreddit, Sasko first gives a bit of behind-the-scenes info on a quest before being asked if CDPR are still working on a DLC story expansion for this year. Sasko first explains that he cannot talk about their future plans, but assured viewers that they are working on an expansion as well as other things besides that:
“Like, I can assure you that we are working on expansion, we’re working on stuff for you guys, you know, besides that. You know, that didn’t change. We are still improving the game because we are aware there is work to be done. And we are very happy you guys liked [Patch 1.5] and that gives us more…incentive to really like, work for you guys because you liked it and you show appreciation for it and you play the game. Which is awesome. So, that’s as much as I can tell you. Like, we are working on stuff for you. Like I’m literally daily reviewing quests or like talking to people about stuff so it is happening.”
Of course we have no timeline on when any DLC expansions could be released, especially now with development beginning on the new Witcher game, but it looks like more improvements and additions can be expected in the future.
