Next year in video game industry is going to be one of those memorable ones in the history with dozens of anticipated titles coming from studios that we’ve never seen their failure in the industry so far. At top of the 2020’s anticipated games, Cyberpunk 2077 is probably the most promising one if we ignore the rumored release date for The Last of Us Part 2. The next RPG from the developers of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is going to revolutionize it genre and in order to reach this ambitious goal, the studio decides to use some Hollywood stars such as Keanu Reeves within the game, which raised the hopes to see Lady Gaga in Night City too, but recently CDPR confirmed that the legendary pop-star won’t make an appearance in Cyberpunk 2077.
Speaking to Wccftech, Alvin Liu from UI team at CD Projekt RED was asked about the appearance of Lady Gaga in Cyberpunk 2077, which was rumored since 2012 when the studio replied Gaga’s strange tweet. The answer from Liu to the interviewer was a clear “NO.” Liu said:
She’s pretty cyberpunk, so she could fit in! But um, yeah, no Lady Gaga.
Despite the decline above, Lady Gaga has been previously seen at CDPR, when she was walking out of the studio. So, if she was at the studio, she probably was one of candidates to be at Cyberpunk 2077 but for unknown reasons she didn’t end-up in the game.
Keanu Reeves is going to play the role for Johnny Silverhand in Cyberpunk 2077, but the game still has two more cyber-ghosts that we have no clue on their representors.
