FromSoftware has announced via the official Dark Souls Twitter account that the Dark Souls 3 PC servers have gone offline once again due to an unannounced and unspecified “problem” they are currently investigating. The game’s PvP servers were recently brought back online after several months since they were shut down due to a severe and dangerous exploit that endangered a player’s PC from malicious remote control attacks, alongside the Dark Souls 1 and 2 servers which at the time of writing are still currently offline. Dark Souls 3 launched worldwide on April 12, 2016.
At this time, there is a confirmed issue with DARK SOULS III online play via the Steam platform.
We are investigating the source of the problem and will inform you as soon as more details become available.
Thank you for your patience. #DarkSouls
