Canadain retailers seem have a thing for spoiling surprise announcements from game publishers. Most recently, it appears that the Canadian region of EB Games has listed pre-orders for both Darksiders II Deathinitive Edition and Biomutant as Switch releases ahead of any official confirmation.
While these are both merely leaks with no support from the publisher of both games – THQ Nordic – to back it up, the fact that both are accepting pre-orders seems like pretty solid evidence that we can expect the titles to make their way over to the Nintendo fan base.
It also wouldn’t be much of a surprise considering we’ve recently received the original Darksiders title on the Switch at the start of last month. Both listings offer up release dates of August 30, 2019 for Darksiders II Deathinitive Edition, while Biomutant stands as a March 30, 2020.
Biomutant has yet to release on any platform, but has only been confirmed for PS4, Xbox One and PC. If these leaks are true, not only would we be receiving information on the Switch version, but also a much closer window for when we can expect to see the game release on all platforms – let alone the Switch.
Stay tuned for more on the story as we’ll update it the more we learn.
