Daunltess’ player count has been rising for the past few weeks. Last Friday the game passed 4 million players who want to fight monsters and play with friends for this free-to-play title. Well now over the weekend, the game has reached over 5 million players which is a surprising 1 million players have been added over the last two days.
That’s right, 5 million players are currently playing this new free-to-play title that takes after the likeness of Monster Hunter series where players fight monsters, use ridiculous weapons, and go back to town to chill out until the next mission. Additionally, the game features true cross-play as players across the PS4, Xbox One, and PC can play together online without any restrictions. This is a step up from the usual non-cross-play Monster Hunter series so the player base is generally safe for playing together throughout all consoles. The game will be available for download on the Nintendo Switch later on, so the company will definitely see more players in the coming future.
As the game is free-to-play, this generally exceeds several expectations, especially since Apex Legends reached 10 million players within its first three days, 25 million at the end of the first week, and finally 50 million players after a month. Now nothing will really beat those numbers for a while unless the game gets a significant boost later on. Recently however, Apex Legends is seeing a decline of streams and stream views on Twitch. While Apex Legends has seen a recent decline as of now, it’s opening accomplishments are fairly enough unmatched.
As Dauntless continues to grow, many more players may come into the world to defeat the creatures that Dauntless has to offer for the Slayers. The game is available on Xbox One, PS4, and PC on the Epic Games Store.
