Until Dawn: Rush of Blood ‘Bringing Terror to Life in VR’

Taking place in the world of Until Dawn, Rush of Blood takes players on a descent into madness, through a terrifying ride of thrills and scares in a fast-paced arcade-style shooter. We spoke to the team at Supermassive Games about how they designed the title from the ground up for PlayStation VR.

Introducing what the Until Dawn VR spin-off is all about, how it’s getting the best out of PlayStation VR, and, most importantly, how it plans to scare your socks off. Look out for some brand new gameplay footage in there too.

Until Dawn: Rush of Blood is due to release on October 13 for PlayStation VR.

Check out the video:

“The mini ViDoc, which you can see for yourself above, explores the design process of the virtual reality horror game, and how Supermassive came to decide on buildingRush of Blood as an on-rails shooter set in the Until Dawn universe. While Supermassive says Rush of Blood is not a direct sequel to nor a piece of DLC for the PlayStation 4 exclusive, it is set “within the mind of one of Until Dawn’s characters.”

With that in mind, one can only assume that we’ll be taking on the role of Josh as his mentally unhinged state in Until Dawn could quite easily give birth to some of the nightmares you’ll encounter in Rush of Blood. Not to mention that that mask can be seen in one of the snippets of gameplay.”
