Astro Bot is Sony’s latest first-party title. The game notably includes cameos of several popular game characters from several franchises, many of which are from PlayStation’s first party titles. One of the characters that appear in the game is Deacon St. John from Days Gone in his robot form. However, Days Gone Creative Director John Garvin isn’t pleased with this inclusion. He recently took to Twitter to voice out his displeasure by quoting a promotional material featuring the character. “Kinda sad that Deek has been reduced to promoting other games,” he said. “Well done Bend Studio! Way to protect your legacy!” Of course, many players were displayed at this reaction, and the post received many comments calling him out for it. In response to one of them he wrote “I see my character reduced to a cartoon shill promoting some small game and I’m being harsh?” Astro Bot launched on September 6 and is available now for PlayStation 5.
