Two big titles of the month have been released last week with uncountable number of fans awaiting and fortunately both of them experienced great sales in first week of release, but the thing that makes it more interesting is that Days Gone with only releasing on one platform and just two days before the end of the week, managed to sell more than Mortal Kombat 11 which released for four platforms on May 23rd, three days before its competitor.
Although Days Gone reached the 1st place in UK Sales chart, it obviously failed to receive honorable reviews from the media and couldn’t be able to launch in a same quality as Sony’s other Spring titles within the recent years. On the other hand, Mortal Kombat 11 break the record in the whole franchise for achieving the best launch sales ever among all Mortal Kombat entries so far, though it ended up at the 2nd place in the chart.
With the two newcomers taking over first and second places, FIFA 19 and The Division 2 stepped down to stand on third and fifth places, while Red Dead Redemption 2 flied over last week’s Mario Kart 8 Deluxe to take over the fourth stage and send Nintendo’s exclusive title to rest on sixth place.
The most shocking news for this week was about World War Z, which acquired the first place in last week’s chart but in the new update, it fell down to the 10th to feel the threat of getting out of top 10 in the following weeks.
Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice and New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe raised in rank according to this week’s chart and managed to inhabit seventh and ninth stages, while Forza Horizon 4 coming back to the top 10 to stand between these titles at eighth place. Here you can read the full list:
