Days Gone revealed for PS4 at E3 2016

Sony unveiled Days Gone at its E3 2016 conference and in doing so revealed what the Uncharted: Golden Abyss and Syphon Filter developer Bend Studio has been hard at work on for a long time in secret.

The trailer feature a biker character traversing a post-apocalyptic world battling against vast hordes of shambling undead and hurtling through a remarkably verdant wasteland on a motorcycle. The environments in the gameplay demo released by Sony looks great so far, with what looks like large scale environments to navigate while trying to not be killed by zombies.

What makes this game look even more impressive are the sheer number of zombies shown on the screen that can attack you, which is something that many zombie games have not been able to handle.

And the gameplay Trailer:

“This is a brutal world, where everyone and everything is struggling to survive, but hopefully, the trailer shows that the game is about more than that,” Sony Bend said on the PlayStation Blog. “It’s about desperation, hope, transformation, loss, madness, discovery, friendship, exploration, brotherhood, regret and love. In the end, Days Gone is about what makes us human. It’s about how even when confronted with such enormous tragedy, we find a reason to live. Hope never dies.”
