New rumors have begun suggesting that a new Dead Space game might be in the works from Developer EA Motive. The official reveals for the game is currently slated to be during the EA Play event that will be coming on July 22, 2021. Like all these rumors take it with a grain of salt.

Since E3 has had a bizarre structure this year you would be excused for possibly not noticing that EA hasn’t actually present during the core events. Battlefield 2042 had a reveal event prior, then again was seen on the Xbox stage later in the week. However, the usual press event they would hold was not there, opting instead to feature it away from that period of time.
In the build-up to this event, several Jeff Grubb statements made over the course of several months have come back to the forefront. While he has never stated what game he is talking about explicitly, many people have taken this to mean that the Survival Horror game Dead Space will be returning.
About a year ago EA Motive’s Patrick Klause stated in a blog post that “In addition to Star Wars: Squadrons, we’re also working on several unannounced projects.” This would be exciting enough but Jeff Grubb added to this several months later by stating the company was developing “an established IP”.
While Jeff has kept it tight-lipped as to what he is actually referring to, it has not stopped the internet from erupting with speculation, most landing on Dead Space is the franchise most worth reviving. Since Jeff Grubb is an insider with access to information most of us can only dream of, it stands to reason there is ‘something’ big to be shown, though what is currently unknown.
