Legendary producer Hideo Kojima was recently interviewed by a Japanese news site J-Wave where he confirmed that Death Stranding is “slightly” delayed. This is not surprising at all as we know Kojima is a fan of perfection when it comes to developing games.
For example, Metal Gear Solid 4 Guns of The Patriots was meant to be the final release of the Metal Gear Solid saga and Kojima wanted it to be perfect. The development took way more that was in the original plans of Konami. Even Metal Gear Solid V was released incomplete with a final chapter left to be released.
Regarding the release date, Kojima says, “Many studios lag behind the planned release date.” the game “is slightly out of the initial plan, but not much delayed,” he said.
We still don’t have a release date for Death Stranding so, a small delay is not worrying. Kojima has stated that Death Stranding will release before the Tokyo Olympics in summer of 2020.
Recently Norman Reedus shared his thoughts about Kojima, he sees him as a genius and thinks that although being the game being very depressive the game has a very positive message behind the story.
Also, if you are a follower of Kojima on Twitter and Instagram you will have noticed that he attended a Chvrches concert last week, and he even invited some of the band to his studio
We know that Hideo Kojima likes bands with female voices for the themes of mostly all their games. All the Metal Gear Solid games had featured some great singing full of emotional lyrics and it seemed that Death Stranding will not be exception.
