“From JAPAN Studio and Bluepoint Games comes a remake of the PlayStation classic, Demon’s Souls. Entirely rebuilt from the ground up and masterfully enhanced, this remake invites you to experience the unsettling story and ruthless combat of Demon’s Souls in unparalleled visual quality and incredible performance.” Reads the official description from Bluepoint Games.
Classic bosses like Demon’s Souls‘ Tower Knight are some of the many foes being given the PlayStation 5 treatment. The video’s description revealed that the remake is “completely rebuilt from the ground up” for PlayStation 5 and includes something called “Fractured Mode.” Players will also be able to choose between two graphics modes — one focused on fidelity and the other on frame rate — that are meant to cater to each player’s preference. In other words, Sony and Bluepoint went all out for this remake, just as they did with the Shadow of the Colossus remake.
The original Demon’s Souls is an unique, captivating RPG experience that takes players on an challenging journey into the kingdom of Boletaria, a blighted fantasy universe inspired by medieval Europe. The revolutionary online connectivity delivered a seamless adventure for an enhanced single player experience or an exhilarating multiplayer game. Players will remember with joy how the original game incentivized them to team up in order to overthrow awe-inspiring bosses, or trying their luck against skilled players, in the fun, but deadly PvP battles.
Demon’s Souls is a PlayStation 5 exclusive, its launch date has not been revealed yet.
