Demon’s Souls Will Provide Over 180 Videos To Help Struggling Players

Demon’s Souls on the PlayStation 5 will include user interface features that will help any struggling adventurers with over 180 instructional videos.

With the success of Dark Souls: RemasteredDemon’s Souls remaster was all but a sure thing.

In a recent interview with the Washington Post, Demon’s Souls Creative Director Gavin Moore spoke about how the new features of the PlayStation 5 will bolster and aid the Demon’s Souls experience, including the helpful videos mentioned above. Moreover, the game will take advantage of the new controller’s haptic feedback, which will help with parrying timing to get out of sticky situations as easily as possible.

Moore went on to speak about overall immersion and the team’s focus on audio and visuals helping the player to more properly assess the battlefield at a moment’s notice:

“Each sound source is recorded in relation to how a real person would hear the sound actually coming from each direction. … It’s similar to the way we have always done things, but now we simply record things many times from many directions, apply more nuanced layers, and then of course spend even more time tweaking things in the final product.”

Moore continued by saying the developer has brought this game to the next generation in many ways, including quality of life additions, such as the World Tendency system, faster load times than the original title, choice between high frame rate and 4K modes, and better healing mechanics.

It’s clear that developer Bluepoint knows this game is infamous for its difficulty and is aware of the tight rope of balancing between curbing the barrier to entry for a FromSoftware game for players new to the franchise and doing it justice in providing the incredibly difficult experience gaming veterans have grown to love and revere from this series, let alone its forebear.

Demon’s Souls is a launch title for the PlayStation 5. Both are releasing on November 12.
