Destiny: The Collection Announced

Destiny: The Collection Announced

Earlier this month we had heard rumors that a new version of Destiny was being released that would contain all of the DLC released up to this point, and now that has been confirmed. The game is officially called Destiny: The Collection, and comes with all available additional content along with the base game.

Pre-ordering The Collection gets you the Iron Gjallarhorn rocket launcher, and the Iron Gjallarwing Sparrow for digital pre-orders and via some retailers.

Activision also revealed a new upgrade path for owners of the game on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Seeing as Rise of Iron is skipping legacy-gen, owners of Destiny: The Taken King on these platforms can upgrade to The Collection edition for $40.

It’s due out alongside Rise of Iron on September 20.

Check out the Trailer:

“Whenever we launch new content, it’s a great time to welcome players back the game – and maybe even recruit some reinforcements for one of the finest communities in gaming. If you’ve missed out on any of the adventures that we’ve delivered to date, we’re excited to announce Destiny – The Collection. Think of it as a loot crate that will help you bounce back into the action. This bundle contains everything we’ve ever released into the world Destiny, including Rise of Iron. It even has a consumable that will boost your character to combat-ready status.”
