Destiny: Rise of Iron Launch Trailer

Destiny: Rise of Iron Launch Trailer

The launch trailer for Destiny’s fast-approaching Rise of Iron expansion will star a very angry Lord Saladin and his very fiery axe. Bungie posted a brief teaser for the trailer (which will probably also serve as the expansion’s opening cinematic) on its official Twitter page; it’s not really clear what Saladin is swinging at, but he definitely wants it dead.

Bungie has already put the 2.4.0 update in place to set the stage for the expansion, and even put out the newTrespasser Exotic sidearm ahead of schedule. So players are already getting a taste of what’s to come. But here’s a quick overview of the expansion if you haven’t been playing in awhile:

  • New Story Campaign & Quests
  • New Armor and Gear
  • New Weapons
  • New Six-player Raid
  • Maximum Light Increase to 338
  • New Strike
  • New Plaguelands Zone & Social Space
  • New Crucible Mode & Maps
  • New Enemy Faction and Bosses

Check out the Trailer:

“Rise of Iron comes out on September 20 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Unlike the three previous expansions, The Dark Below, House of Wolves, and The Taken King, this one is not coming to last-generation consoles–and there’s a reason why.

Included with Rise of Iron is a new story campaign, a new location called “The Plaguelands,” and a new social space named “Felwinter Peak.” Also included is a new six-player raid and more Strikes. Additionally, the Gjallarhorn is coming back, while a Gjallarhorn-inspired Sparrow is also included.”
