Developer Vicarious Visions is Now Contribuiting on Destiny’s Sequel

A sequel to Destiny is expected to launch sometime in 2017, publisher Activision confirmed earlier this year. Bungie and Activision have recruited another studio to help development the game, Vicarious Visions is now contributing in an unspecified capacity, the journeyman developer having worked on previous Activision’s projects like Guitar Hero, Skylanders and Transformers games.

“Vicarious Visions is excited to announced that we are partnering with Bungie to further expand the Award-Winning Destiny Universe,” the New York-based developer announced on Facebook today.

Vicarious Visions joins Bungie and Transformers developer High Moon Studios, which was brought on to the Destiny team last year, in developing content for the “shared world shooter.” Vicarious Visions is currently working on a Crash Bandicoot remaster for PlayStation 4, Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy.

A sequel is expected to launch sometime in 2017, publisher Activision confirmed earlier this year. That game is reportedly coming to PC in addition to consoles, so it’s possible the Vicarious Visions and High Moon Studios teams are helping Bungie bring the sequel to additional platforms.
