Deus Ex: Mankind Divided goes gold

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided goes gold

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided is now officially Gold according to the official Twitter. This means that principle development on the game is complete, with the physical discs able to be printed starting now. Of course, with modern game development this is nowhere near the end, with the team likely moving on to updates and DLC. Still, it is a huge milestone for the game, and is a good sign given that Deus Ex: Mankind Divided has a release date of August 23rd, meaning the team finished with plenty of time to spare.

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided has been a long time coming. As the sequel to the very well received Deus Ex: Human Revolution from 2011. The series has been acclaimed throughout its life, with new entries sometimes taking a long time to come to fruition, but usually pleasing fans with their excellent action-RPG mechanics.

This means the game’s code is complete, and it’s ready to go into the final phases of production.

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided is due out for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on August 23.

“The sequel is set in 2029, when mechanically augmented humans have been deemed outcasts and live a life of complete and total segregation from the rest of society. Adam Jensen, now an experienced covert operative and armed with a new arsenal of state-of-the-art weapons and augmentations, must unravel a worldwide conspiracy while operating in a world that has grown to hate his kind.”
