Devil May Cry 3 Special Edition Coming to Nintendo Switch in 2020

Devil May Cry 3 Special Edition

will be available for digital download on the Nintendo Switch beginning February 20, 2020 for USD$19.99.

Fans concerned about stepping into the franchise for the first time with the third installment can rest easy, as Devil May Cry 3 is a prequel to the first two games. It serves as Dante’s (the protagonist and player-character) origin story, leading up to and “culminating in Dante’s face-off against his twin brother, Vergil, who is set on unlocking a gate to the demonic realm.”

In addition, gamers will discover new bits of lore surrounding iconic series characters, such as the first encounter with Lady—a human Devil Hunter who is both a supporting character and boss in Devil May Cry 3: Dante’s Awakening. Moreover, players will learn how Dante’s shop began and why the series is called Devil May Cry.

From Capcom: “Devil May Cry 3 Special Edition brings the full stylish action package to Nintendo Switch, offering the addition of Vergil as a playable character and the 9,999 floors of the “Bloody Palace” survival mode. The system’s handheld mode offers the added flexibility of playing on-the-go for the first time. Devil May Cry and Devil May Cry 2 are each currently available for digital download on Nintendo Switch for MSRP $19.99 / £15.00 / €19.99 for fans looking to get in on the stylish demon hunting action right now.”
