Devil May Cry 5, as a long-awaited direct sequel for DMC 4, released two weeks ago and despite being at the top of UK Sales chart for only one week, the game managed to sell more than 2 million units, fourteen days after its official release on March 8.
During a GDC 2019 panel, leading by Hideaki Itsuno, Director of Devil May Cry 5, its officially announced that the new entry to long-running hack and slash series, has sold 2 million units among all platforms so far. With this in mind, its safe to say that DMC 5 is going to be the best-selling game of the franchise very soon, since Devil May Cry 4, which is known as the best-seller DMC ever, is just one million units ahead, and it’s not so much to keep the leading against Devil May Cry 5.
For more details on sales of Devil May Cry V, we have to wait for Capcom’s official statement at the scheduled time of financial year. Besides, it will be fun to hear which one of the critically acclaimed titles of Capcom does a great job in term of sales, during 2019.
