Disco Elysium Coming To Xbox As Well As Switch

At the end of last week, it was announced that the dialog and dice roll-driven RPG Disco Elysium would be making its way onto the Nintendo Switch later this year. For Xbox fans that were nervous, they were yet again going to miss out on the Detective game, the studio behind the game has announced that it will finally be arriving on Xbox as well.

The official Twitter account for the game posted a tweet indeed confirming that the game would be arriving on the Xbox the same day as it will be arriving on the Nintendo Switch. October 12th will be the date that the game launches digitally, however, a physical version of the game will be coming later on November 9th.

For those that have not played Disco Elysium yet, now is the perfect chance to finally dive into the game that won several games of the year awards as well as 4 awards during the 2019 Video Game Awards. These awards included Best Narrative, Best Role Playing Game, Best Indie Game, and the Best Debut Game for ZA/UM.

The game revolves around a detective who wakes up with no memory in a hotel room he trashed and with a murder to investigate. From there the player is introduced to the several voices in his head that will guide him as he tries to solve the crime, as well as urging him to do incredibly stupid things to further his internal ideologies.

The game plays with dice role mechanics for choices or attempts to learn information as well as multiple abilities to help, with most of them involving internalizing bizarre theological constructs so your detective can interact better with some people around him.

Finally, all players will be able to enjoy Disco Elysium when it releases on the Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch on October 12th.
