Doom Eternal Gets Nearly 50 Minutes of Gameplay at QuakeCon 2019

Doom Eternal is currently the main focus of id Software at QuakeCon 2019 and the first day of the event totally dedicated to this upcoming title of Bethesda which is brutal enough that I can name it as Mortal Kombat of the FPS genre. The game received nearly 50 minutes of gameplay footage at this year’s QuakeCon which revealed some new information on the game thanks to developer’s explanation.

While the whole video just shows-off one level of the game, you go through different locations and fight against numerous demons with distinct abilities. Some of them like Pain Elemental flies in the air and the others surround you on the ground. Fortunately, enemies are really varied in Doom Eternal and they use different ways to damage you. For example, some of them that you can check out at the ending minutes of the video, are able to teleport and appear wherever you’re standing to hit at once.

Aside from demons, we also get to see some of Slayer’s deadly weapons through the footage with each one of the working in a different way. Also, you have the ability to perform some skill kills which are simply means damaging the enemies and getting closer to the to take cut their head off and watch it in a brief beautifully crafted cut-scene without interrupting the gameplay. Killing enemies in such a way will award you by gaining extra health.

In other news from QuakeCon 2019, Battlemode officially announced for Doom Eternal, which is 2v1 mode representing a battle between Doom Slayer and demons. Also, the first trilogy of Doom series got released on current-gen consoles of Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo.

Doom Eternal will be available on November 22 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, PC and Stadia.
