The next major DLC character set to hit Super Smash Bros Ultimate will introduce a variety of heroes from the iconic Dragon Quest series. Smash series director Masahiro Sakurai will present a lengthy gameplay demonstration for the upcoming character DLC at the end of this month, revealing combat gameplay, details and most likely a release date.
The announced presentation will take place on July 30, 2019 at 6AM PT/9AM ET and will feature a 22-minute long demo of the DLC. While recently we received a potential leak from a Nintendo released ‘Summer Releases’ video that the new DLC character would be heading over to the game this month – it seems like the character would need to be released the day of the presentation for that rumor to hold true. It’s not exactly out of the realm of possibility. In fact, it would make for an exciting presentation if it ended with the reveal of the character becoming available that day.
However, chances are we might be seeing the Heroes DLC arriving to Smash Ultimate next month in August. Regardless, the presentation by Sakurai will be an exciting demo reveal that’s sure to get Ultimate players excited for the upcoming roster addition.
Super Smash Bros Ultimate is currently available for the Switch and the game’s first official DLC addition of Persona 5’s Joker is out now. Banjo-Kazooie has also been announced as an upcoming DLC character for the game.
