Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past ‘Discover the World’ Trailer

Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past ‘Discover the World’ Trailer

This new trailer shows off the world of Dragon Quest VII, complete with gameplay and a quick preview of what some of the game’s classes look like. Be prepared for monsters to roam the fields and dungeons in each island you explore as you piece the world together on a journey to stop the demon king. The trailer shows a little glimpse of a number of aspects of Dragon Quest VII, but doesn’t go into a whole lot of detail on any one specific system. The narrator mentions a combat trailer will be coming closer to the game’s launch, giving interested fans something to look forward to in the meantime.

Dragon Quest franchise veterans need no introduction to the game’s combat system, as VII uses the classic RPG turn based system previous games have used. Whether you’ve played Dragon Quest since it was originally titled Dragon Warrior or if you only got into the series thanks to the four games on the Nintendo DS, Dragon Quest VII will certainly feel familiar. Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past will launch on the Nintendo 3DS system in North America on September 16.

Check out the Trailer:

“The visuals have been rebuilt from scratch and the story retold, making this a fresh way to experience the classic PS1 game. There’s also Streetpass support , enabling players to send and receive traveler’s tablets. These artifacts enable the recipient to explore new dungeons that contain rare monsters and unique equipment.”
